The Laser S-facelift is a hidden scar facelift procedure designed to rejuvenate the neck jowls and face with minimal downtime.
Your face provides the world with a lasting impression of who you are and how you feel. But it doesn’t have to tell your age. For many of our patients, the “wind-tunnel” look caused by overly taut skin following a facelift is no longer acceptable. They desire a more “natural looking” rejuvenation that does not “scream” facelift.
Many patients today are looking for facelifts that allow for faster recovery, involve smaller incisions and no hair loss, and non-surgical looking results.
Enter the Laser S-facelift
Compared to old-fashioned facelifts, it is a less invasive operation, with fewer complications and faster recovery. The S-facelift is particularly well suited for younger and middle-aged patients and can make a dramatic change by tightening the sagging muscles and skin of the cheeks, chin, and neck.
Dr. Hopping performed the first S-facelift in North America in 1985. He has written numerous journal articles about this procedure and frequently lectures on this revolutionary technique.
The best candidates for a Laser S-facelift are men and women who:
- Have firm, elastic skin and are in good health.
- Are typically between 30 and 60 years of age.
- Have mild to moderate lower facial and/or neck laxity.
- Have realistic expectations.
- Want to stay ahead of the aging process and look as young as they feel.
What are the benefits of a Laser S-facelift procedure?
- A natural look
- Quicker recovery time
- Minimal complication risk
- Minimal scars
- No hair loss
A Laser S-facelift is performed in our fully accredited AAAHC facility. Pre-medication is generally recommended to relax the patient. During a Laser S-facelift, a special anesthetic solution is injected in the area forward of the ears. This fluid gently lifts the skin from the underlying tissue. The procedure normally takes less than two hours.
After your procedure, you’ll go home and rest at least three to four days. There may be some minor bruising and swelling for two weeks. Mild pain relievers may be needed. You’ll wear a small bandage over the incision site for the next two to three days.
After that, you may take a shower and wash your hair. Men may shave their face. Direct sun should be avoided for several weeks. Many of our Laser S-facelift patients resume normal activities in three weeks and return to work in seven to 10 days.
Following surgery, the normal aging process resumes. Your lifestyle choices, bone structure, skin type, sun exposure and heredity all play a part in determining how many years can be removed by a Laser S-facelift and for how long. In general, younger patients enjoy longer-lasting results. The real advantage is that patients achieve natural results and look rejuvenated, not operated. Results routinely last eight to 10 years.
