Well-defined chin and cheeks have been the hallmark of beautiful faces throughout the ages. These features never go out of style and are found on what are considered the most attractive faces in Hollywood and worldwide.
So how can those who didn’t inherit these features get them? The simplest way is with synthetic fillers or fat injections. Fat lasts the longest, but eventually both of these treatments need to be repeated.
Cheek Augmentation is designed to address the drooping of the cheekbone and “cheek pads,” which may result in a hollowed appearance. Chin Augmentation is designed to enhance the overall balance of the lower face by refining deficiencies in the chin structure.
Chin and cheek implants provide long-term correction but require a trip to the operating room. We perform these surgical procedures under sedation anesthesia in our AAAHC-certified surgical suite.
Recovery
Recovery from fat or filler injections is usually 2 days. With chin or cheek surgical implants, there will be some swelling and bruising. Recovery requires 7 days of limited activity and the implants last a lifetime.
Expected Results
Cheek and chin enhancements result in a more attractive and youthful-looking face. All patients electing to do implants receive antibiotics to prevent infection. Fat transfers generally lasts longer than injectable fillers. Surgical implants last a lifetime.
