Rhinoplasty
Rhinoplasty, or a nose job, is a surgical procedure that changes or corrects the nose size, structure or shape.
In Washington DC, Dr. Steven Hopping has performed thousands of these procedures and is board certified in both Facial Plastic Surgery and Cosmetic Surgery. These certifications and experience levels demonstrate Dr. Hopping’s unique expertise in aesthetic rhinoplasty.
Dr. Hopping Performs Several Rhinoplasty Techniques, Including:
- Open rhinoplasty techniques (surgical incisions are made outside the nose)
- Closed rhinoplasty (surgical incisions are made inside the nose)
- Rhinoplasty to reduce the size of the nose
- Rhinoplasty to augment the appearance of the nose
- Ethnic rhinoplasty to alter particular racial traits
- Rhinoplasty for post-traumatic issues
Rhinoplasty lasts approximately two-to-three hours, and is routinely performed as outpatient surgery under IV sedation in our AAAHC-certified operating surgical center.
Recovery Time
Most patients do not require packing of the nose, which significantly reduces post-op discomfort. External splints and dressings are removed on Day 6, and many patients return to work in seven-to-10 days.
Expected Results
Rhinoplasty is one of Dr. Hopping’s favorite and most requested procedures. The Hopping nose is often described as natural, elegant and refined.
“There is nothing so fulfilling as giving patients, young and old, the nose they have always wanted and dreamed of,” says Dr. Hopping.
